This concert, featuring the UNC Asheville University Singers, Asheville Singers, and Reuter Center Singers, along with the UNC Asheville Wind Ensemble, centered compositions by African American composers, and music and words important to the struggle for civil rights. Additional works by contemporary composers centered on themes of hope and delight.
